The First Wives Club

The First Wives Club at Oriental Theatre

Why see The First Wives Club?

The Hit Feel-Good Film on Stage

Starring Faith Prince, Christine Sherrill and Carmen Cusack!

Based on the hit film of the same name comes a brand new, Broadway-bound musical! The First Wives Club is the inspiring story of three women who rediscover a friendship they shared in college, and use it to overcome the trials and triumphs of middle-age and failed marriage. This pre-Broadway production is directed by Simon Phillips (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: The Musical). The three lead roles are taken by Tony Winner Faith Prince (Guys and Dolls), Carmen Cusack (Wicked) and Christine Sherrill (Mamma Mia).

The First Wives Club: The Musical received its world premiere at San Diego's Globe Theatre in 2009 where it was enjoyed as a theatrical chick-flick of sisterhood solidarity - in short, a great night out for groups of girl-friends of any age. And perfectly complimenting the uplifting (and at times very funny!) storyline is original music by legendary Motown trio Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland.

What is The First Wives Club about?

Old college chums Brenda, Elyse and Annie are reunited when their friend Cynthia passes away. They soon discover that they have each been ditched by their husbands for younger women and decide to group together once again, this time to take revenge on the men that have wronged them and regain control of their lives, and this time with style.
