Black Expression
We traveled from out of state to Chicago to see hiplet. It was well worth the 12 hour round-trip and several Uber‘s. If you like black culture, black expression black dance black art then this is a must see. The opening act did not have me mesmerized as I wished, instead I was left with a filling of oh my gosh I hope this is not all there is to offer, it was pretty sad and I felt like I was at a child’s dance recital but once we got past the opening act, It was totally awesome. Our seats were not that good. Somehow we ended up sitting at tables in a very crowded spot right below the stage , we are way too close and it was paining my neck to keep looking up. And the speakers were right in our face so I don’t think it was a good idea to have these table seats. But the venue itself was spectacular. The dancers were awesome. There was also , a small tribute to tap which is my favorite is so I was very glad that was incorporated. If you have the opportunity to go see this go do it. ... Read more
