It's time to imbue Christmas with a little bit more jazz, in the most exciting reimagining of the Nutcracker that you've ever seen. In 1960 two jazz musicians Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn collaborated on a new arrangement of Tchaikovsky's original score, and this collaboration created something so groundbreaking that it shook the world. What's it about?

We find ourselves in Sugar Hill, Harlem in the 1930's. A wealthy and prestigious family have a daughter who seeks to go against the grain. She sets off on a journey through jazz to find her magic and dreamland.
