The writers based their work on the 1925 Scopes "Monkey" Trial, a fearsome battle of creationists and scientists. The Goodman's own Henry Godinez will direct, with Broadway star Alexander Gemignani as prosecutor Brady and Hollywood actor Harry Lennix as defense attorney Drummond.
