Top level arena show in a smaller venue!
Last night's 38 Special show was an event not to be missed. The band was as tight as I've ever seen in my 50plus years of attending live concerts! Lead singer Don Barnes sounded like he had just stepped out the Mid 70's with amazing vocals and unconscious guitar playing for a man his age. Loved it, Don! Jerry Riggs also didn't disappoint. Savvy guitar playing with a solo psychedelic that wooed the crowd. Incredible! Bobby Capps on keyboard was also fantastic. Giving a near perfect vocal on the groups hit, "Second Chance". Brought my wife to tears. Great job Bobby! Gary Moffatt on drums literally has no equal. Not since the great Neil Peart of Rush passed away have, I witnessed that level of play. Simply amazing solo! Finally, Bassist Barry Dunaway was the essential Rythm driver that kept the group so freaking tight. If you missed this concert, you missed an event. and to top it off, it was the last of a 97 show dates this tour! Kudos guys!
