Love the Genesse theater, not the so called show. Saw old worn out videos.. anticipated a JC tribute artist would come out and sing but no. We bought 6 tickets as Christmas gifts for $50 each.. for what? So disappointed. People left during the show. Just not theater quality so we felt ripped off. Never had this problem at Genesse until this show.

Need more Cash

I didn't buy tickets to listen to other people sing Johnny Cash's songs. There is so much footage of him singing.....I wanted to hear more Johnny Cash not imitation.

Do no buy these tickets

I have gone to Broadway shows for years I have season tickets and this was one of the worst shows I’ve seen. They could have at least had actors and actresses to look or sound like Johnny Cash and Rosalyn Carter to tell their story. It shows Johnny Cash up on the screen playing music and it’s the same tone. The son of Johnny Cash talks about their life but it’s boring. They should’ve paid me to sit through it.

Walking out of the theater mid-show now

Dear God I wish I’d read these reviews before wasting $90 on a ticket. Here’s an idea…if you’re going to try to emulate Johnny Cash onstage, maybe you should sound like him? Maybe you should remember the words to the songs? Maybe the guitars should be in tune, or you should be in tune yourself? Maybe the production crew should monitor the microphones so you can hear whichever singer is singing lead? Maybe the singers should actually be able to pronounce the words? Maybe the guy covering Johnny should actually have a deep voice? Here’s a crazy idea…maybe wear black?…like there was REALLY that little thought put into this show that was a series of horrible narrative video clips from John Cash Jr., not just mediocre—but truly BAD singing, and video clips of Johnny full of technical glitches with no connection to what was on stage! DISRESPECTFUL TO ONE OF THE DEEPEST MUSICAL SOULS OFVTHE 20th CENTURY, SHAME ON whomever’s making money off this tragedy.
