Carmen ran long on the opening night but no one cared as we were all swept along with the gorgeous score and the fantastic acting and singing of J'Nai Bridges and all of the major characters. As always, the Lyric chorus and orchestra was nothing short of fabulous. The children's chorus (which is some productions are either over done or under done) were a Goldilocks' version of a children's chorus, they were just right! When the Lyric chorus, the children's chorus and the orchestra were all performing the Toreador Song together in the fourth act of the opera, I was literally lifted up off my seat! This is short run, only seven performances left so please hurry and get your tickets. I'm going back for a matinee!
