hello! if you are going to see in the garden of good and evil, you are in for an absolute treat. any review claiming there was no plot or a disjointed plot, must not have payed attention to their high school english classes that talked about different styles of works, nor did they pay attention to the show happening in front of them. all of the actors were amazing and the show had one of the highest production values i have seen so far in chicago. i suspect that in the garden of good and evil is going to be the next big thing.

This is a must see show. The staging and costumes and the seduction of this show . You feel like you are in Savanah . I loved all the characters . The music was stellar. Just see it for J Harrison Ghee ! What a gift they are to theater . I am seeing again on closing night. This is a hit!

Amazing musical! Kept me on my seat the whole time. Breaking the forth wall through-out was brilliant. Don't miss it.

Not sure if Sadly Speaking and I saw the same show...yes this show was about a tragedy - but I felt that one of the show's successes was to create a balance between tragedy and comedy. The musical was definitely superior, with much more depth than the movie. Savannah, Georgia served as a character in the show - which is crucial to the story and were the movie was a miss. All of the leads were perfectly cast - and crushed their roles in the show. J Harrison Ghee was particularly spot on as Lady Chablis. Loved the music/score by Jason Robert Brown. Attended with four others and we all loved it!

I thought the cast was weak . Don't want to insult any individuals but a couple were hard to listen to. Wanted more love for the characters...8 felt emotionally Separated. Great sets and costumes. Slow start... Dark opening scene went on too long.

A work in progress

There’s a lot of incredible talent on stage. But the book of this musical needs sooooooo much work. I don’t know how to describe what I sat through. At times I thought I was watching a Carol Burnett parody of the 1997 movie. This show is about half an hour too long. I can’t see this going to Broadway in its present form. It wasn’t horrible, but it’s certainly not great.
