A fresh new take on Frank Capra's legendary holiday movie
If you are a fan of Frank Capra's seminal holiday movie, then this is a unique way to experience it live on stage! This radio play version of the film sees five actors play all the characters in a story that takes us back to the true meaning of Christmas. Follow the trials and tribulations of the hardworking George Bailey whose kind-hearted sacrifices through his life push him to the edge - until he realizes with a little divine help how he has touched the lives of everybody around him.
This fresh new take on the annual favorite was devised by Joe Landry, who felt that the story shouldn't just be limited to the screen. Performed in the style of a 1940s radio play, the performers not only take on multiple roles, but also take on the sound effects (do you hear that bell ringing?). This production is a throwback to days gone by, and is now performed across the country to great acclaim, even being endorsed by the sole surviving member of the film's cast, Karolyn Grimes, who played little Zuzu!
