Love And Sorrow In Shakespeare's Pericles

The United Kingdom's prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company begin a new association with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre by bringing William Shakespeare's excellent yet lesser known play, Pericles, to the stage! Fresh from a string performances in Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-Upon-Avon, RSC's artistic director Tamara Harvey's brand new production will be the 100th international production at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

What's it about?

The play tells the story of Pericles, the young prince of Tyre, who finds himself in a perilous situation when a riddle results in an attempted assassination! A story of love and betrayal, it's even invaded by some swashbuckling pirates!
