Chicago's home of alternative music on the radio 93XRT is back with another year of their annual Big Holiday Concert, and this time round they'll be banishing the winter blues with the upbeat southern soul of headliner Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, with support from the legendary gospel singer Mavis Singers. This swinging line up will have you on your feet in no time!
Bearded muso Rateliff was branded an introspective folk songwriter for much of the 2000s, but blasted away any preconceived notions when he formed Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. Reformed as a frontman in the style of a guitar-wielding gospel preacher, Rateliff's upbeat songs chronicle the good times in the style of old, replete with handclaps, foot stomps and choral backing vocals.
