How a ringing in the ears might lead to catastrophe
The Lyric Opera plays host to Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek's story of how a simple ringing in the ears can turn a group of people into a terrifying cult. When Claire begins hearing a maddening low-frequency droning sound that never stops, she enlists the help of a group of people who have formed to try and stop the noise that has been permeating her life. Unbeknownst to her, though, the groups actions may lead to catastrophe...
Foreboding and darkly beautiful, the stunning production is directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz and conducted by Enrique Mazzola. Don't miss this fantastic work as part of the 2024/25 season!
