Carousel

Why see Carousel?

Roll Up, Roll Up!

Carousel is one of the legendary dynamic duo, Rodgers and Hammerstein's most enduring works. Telling the story of the fateful romance between carousel barker Billy Bigelow and millworker Julie Jordan, it is rife with some of the pair's most evocative songs, including 'If I Loved You' and the anthemic 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

What Is The Story?

When carefree carnival barker Billy Bigelow loses his job he is drawn back into the murky world of crime in order to provide for his new wife and unborn child. Caught in the act and facing a lengthy prison sentence Billy takes matters into his own hands and decides to end his life.

15 years later Billy is allowed to return to earth from 'up there' for one day only. When he's met with a bereft wife and an unhappy and lonely daughter, Billy is determined to make things right and repair the damage that has enveloped his family.
