Combining familiar classical music with some contemporary sounds, this is a must-see event for fans of classical music with a mission!

Who are Sphinx Virtuosi?

Sphinx Virtuosi is dedicated to enhancing diversity in classical music and honoring outstanding achievements. They support aspiring musicians, experienced classical artists, cultural innovators, and arts administrators by tackling the entrenched barriers that limit access for Black and Latino communities.

Created by the Sphinx Organization, the orchestra provides amazing opportunities for black and Latino musicians to craft, celebrate and perform their talents. The organization has been running for 27 years and have pioneered artist development and leadership as well as female musicians. The group is artistically directed by Afa S. Dworkin, who has been named as one of Musical America's Top 30 Influencers.

The Sphinx Virtuosi have been praised for their professionalism and polished performances that showcase how their unique talents work together perfectly.
