Still has it

For some reason, the idiots that love Drump thought Cleese was a supporter. I saw many leave because of this. Glad they left. Cleese was well spoken, funny as hell, and did not disappoint. Can't say the same for his daughter's stand up. But to see a legend Python was a treat! ... Read more

Cleese in fine form at 77 years old!

A full house & a standing ovation greeted Cleese as he ambled on stage, took a bow & sat on the provided chair. He proceeded to ask if we wondered why a world famous megastar like him would be in Palm Desert! The answer was apparently an ex wife's alimony payments! He then used the screen behind him to show a shot of a lady drawing a thick wad of money from an ATM. How we laughed at his misfortune: he later described why folks laugh at such sorry human tragedies. Using the screen to great effect with various clips, Cleese led us on his life's incredible journey. Intimate moments from his childhood, the University days where he met likeminded future entertainment stars to the Q & A. Someone wanted to know why he hadn't talked about 'Fawlty Towers'. His answer surprised me- he wasn't sure if the American audience knew much about that series. He ended up surprised as this US audience was very much into 'Fawlty Towers' & loved the clips. Good seats- A Mezz. #229, 230. Lovely Ushers. ... Read more

Fortunately John properly denounced and laughed at these horrible people! Seeing this icon of comedy in person was well worth the cost. John is like a member of "The Beatles Of Comedy!" ... Read more
