Betrayal
one of those rare shows I seem destined to think about forever.

Why see Betrayal?
Pinter's Classic Starring Helen Hunt
Emmy, Oscar and Golden Globe Award winner Helen Hunt stars alongside Tony winner Robert Sean Leonard and Tony nominee Ian Barford in this highly anticipated revival of Harold Pinter's masterpiece, directed by Susan V. Boothe. A frank, dark yet witty look at a love affair in reverse, Betrayal contains all of the playwright's signature malice and intelligence but is often regarded as the most personal of all Pinter's works, being based on one of his own relationships.
Gaining widespread acclaim for her four-time Emmy winning performances as Jamie Buchman in Mad About You, Helen Hunt's first Oscar win came for As Good as It Gets (1997). Despite a glittering career on the screen though, her commitment to the stage has not wavered, most recently starring in the European premiere of Eureka Day at London's Old Vic theatre.
What Is The Story?
Emma is married to Robert, a publisher who has no idea that his wife has been having an affair with his best friend Jerry, a literary agent. Moving backwards in time the full complexity of their relationships comes to light and its effects on them all. A gripping portrayal of how we never really know those we think we know best, it's a timeless work worth every bit of its Olivier Award in 1979 following its release.
